Syrian Kurds declare new province

Kurdish forces have moved to make Tal Abyad an area under autonomous administration. The PYD announced that Tal Abyad is now part of the Kobane canton, which would join the Jazira and the Afrin cantons. According to al Arabiya the forces that liberated the area are called the Syrian Democratic Forces, which includes Kurds, Arabs, and Syriac Christians.
