Syria Druze group: Regime has declared war on us

The Syrian Druze Sheikhs of Dignity have stated that SARG has declared war on them by accusing Rafaat Balaous of killing Shibli Junoud. Junoud was a top Baath party official in Suweida. The Sheikhs of Dignity said, “The accusation made against us—that we killed the late Shibli Junoud—is tantamount to a declaration of war against us by the state.” Tensions between SARG and Suweida’s Druze community have been high since the assassination of Waheed Baalous.
